they shoot horses,
don’t they?
I called the doctor today, because I thought that if I was one of my horses, I’d have called the vet. She made me take off my trousers and prodded (technical term) my legs all over, before pronouncing that she didn’t think it was anything major.
She has referred me to a physiotherapist, and told me to scale back the running until I see her on Thursday. I sat on the couch wearing icepacks, eating chocolate and drinking tea today; not sure that’s quite what she meant by scaling back.
When I spoke to the physiotherapist today she told me to come with my trainers and to bring some shorts. Shorts? I’m slightly worried that she’s expecting a proper marathon running person. I don’t own any shorts. D’you think I need to go out and buy some?
In other news, thanks to the amazing generosity of some really lovely people we’ve now raised an amazing £425 for Heart Research UK on my Just Giving page! Thank you all so much.

lol at sitting on couch with chocolate, well deserved I think. The physio will need you to wear shorts so he/she can see your muscles and the area he/she is working on. I would squirm about that, but you are more used to showing off your legs??
Jen.
Ooh no, I never run in shorts! My legs haven’t seen the light of day for years. Oh help!
If u don’t have shorts you’ll have to do it in your vest and knickers!!
Eep! Going to have to borrow the husband’s gym shorts. Oh, I am dreading Thursday!
did i miss an injury? maybe you pushed too hard on your lr over the weekend. and don’t be worried about showing off your legs. i’m sure the physio has seen everything. plus i’m sure youre getting some great runners legs
Just a little twinge in my knee, which turned into a grumble in my previously-sprained ankle. I’m not taking any risks with it though! The doctor said I probably pushed it, you’re right. As for the legs…oh nonononono! Poor physio!
Let’s get to the important stuff: the chocolate. What were you eating?!
Lindor mini eggs. Yummmmmmmm.
ouch, you have to be seen in shorts
Hope all is well with the legs. would hate to think they had to be put out of their misery.
So relieved to report that the legs were pronounced okay. I’m quite attached to them!
Lol I’m sure the shorts are just so that she can massage your legs and examine thm properly … try having your hip seen to by a male physio … luckily I’ve know him over 10 years so its not SO embaressing!
Rest up and enjoy a few days peace! What your doing is fantastic!
Thank you Hayley! I can’t even begin to imagine how mortifying that would be. Argh!
